Samsung was the first to release the August 2021 security update which debuted on Galaxy A52. As of now, it has been rolled out to over a dozen of Galaxy phones including Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S6, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S10 Lite, and more. As mentioned in Samsung’s documentation, the August 2021 security patch fixes 40 vulnerabilities related to system security and privacy. Samsung has placed the Galaxy A90 5G on a quarterly schedule. So, the rollout timing of each new update may vary depending on the region.
If you’re a Galaxy A90 5G user in South Korea and have not received the latest update yet, then manually update your phone by heading to Settings » Software updates ad then tap on Download and Install. Samsung Galaxy A90 5G was released back in 2019 with Android 9 Pie out of the box. Thanks to the two major OS upgrades, the device is currently running Android 11. And, we are not sure, if the device will receive any further major OS upgrades or not. But, it will continue to receive security patch updates for a while.
